Citizen's Advice Bureau Services

A New Year Message from our colleagues are Citizen's Advice

Happy New Year!

We hope you are well and managed to take a break over the festive season.  I know that sadly, many have not been able to see their families this Christmas and now we are in lockdown again, delaying many services and activities from reopening.  We certainly live in challenging times and it's hard to be resilient sometimes ..... we just need to try and stay positive, know that it will pass eventually and do our best to continue to help people when we can.

In the meantime, thank you for all you are doing to support people who need our help.  Here is some headline data showing how many people received help from us in November.

Open for business

Although our offices are closed, Citizens Advice Cheshire West remains open for business despite the current restrictions, although it may take us a little longer to answer the phones as we are very busy.  Please bear with us and remember, we can also be contacted for advice by email.

Our colleagues at CAB have had to work a little differently this year due to COVID restrictions.  They are a registered charity and provde free, impartial and confidential advice in a variety of areas.

They have a new programme called the Community Connector Programme.  There are trained Community Connectors in each area of Cheshire West and Chester who can signpost, help and support you if you have any concerns regarding benefits, debt, housing, relationships and housing.

They have access to specialist advisors in debt and benefits as well as Solicitors who offer free appointments for housing, family, employment and immigration.

We now have a dedicated telephone in school, that you can use to make contact with an Advisor.  Please contact us if you would like to make use of it.

Please see below for some useful information that you can download.
