Telephone Call and Quidditch

Two highlights from today were a phonecall made by three members of our School Council and 2 exciting Quidditch tournaments which all in all made for an excellent day!

House Teams took on House Teams at 10:45 during the day so that all children could be involved in our Quidditch Tournaments and great fun was had by all. A big thank you to Miss Tappin for leading this exciting new addition to our sporting calendar. I now have an improved understanding of the game from being a spectator and can see how much fun the characters in Harry Potter must have had.

The exciting telephone call followed our lunchtime School Council meeting. During the meeting the children drew the raffle (Well done Logan and Catherine) and then discussed plans for a Lottery Bid funded enhancement to our playground. At the meeting it was agreed that some plans we had been sent to develop our playground provision could provide just what we need to develop our pupils' imaginations and provide a quiet area for reading, talking and relaxing. Logan, Lexi and Ryan were selected to represent our school and call the company to ask for the work to take place and pleasingly they succeeded in their mission which means we will have a new playground area very soon. Miss Hughes and I were impressed with the children's telephone manner and their plans for this new area.

Westminster is a great place to be and later tonight we have Poetry Supper so the fun and celebration has not yet finished for the day...
