Hot Chocolate and Reading and Hilarity

It was so good to see children arriving with their families in their pyjamas for last night's cosy drama and reading evening. It is good to have new events in our calendar that add that extra dimension of fun and I am so pleased that I work with such a great team of people who make good things happen. I followed this up this morning by being a mystery reader guest in most classes and loved seeing the joy of a shared story or poem. It has been a good week all in all amongst the snowy weather we have enjoyed our lessons and found time to add in extra reading and I have squeezed in a number of games of Bananagrams because I have been so eager to find our champions. The hilarity and tension in my office as we have played rounds and semi-finals and rematches has been highly enjoyable. I am grateful to all of those children who have played and now bow to Molly who is the overall champion in our school. May reading and games and hot chocolate on cold days stay part of our children's lives always.
